Halloooooo! I'm back after a delightful, hot, fabulous summer full of swimming, biking, daily walks, nature hikes, beach combing, backyard camping, fishing, out-of-town guests, al fresco suppers, reading, and knitting. It truly has been one of the best summers ever.
Just off the needles, this purplicious hippo is a pattern from Susan Anderson's book, Itty Bitty Toys (I have had so much fun with this book!). I knit mine with the recommended yarns and colors: Dream in Color Smooshy in Wisterious for the body (this colorway is amazing--the photo doesn't even come close to capturing it), and Koigu Light Pink for the foot pads and inner ears. All of Susan's patterns are easy to follow and fun to knit-up. I plan to knit her Pig (from the same book) later this fall.
